Larger Manchester Police have confirmed that Mason Greenwood has been charged with tried rape, participating in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault.
The Crown Prosecution Service had earlier confirmed that they’d made the suggestions for the Manchester United ahead to be charged.
Greenwood was arrested again in January and had his bail prolonged in June, although was re-arrested on Saturday morning after breaking these circumstances.
And GMP confirmed on Saturday afternoon that Greenwood has now been charged and can seem at magistrates’ court docket on Monday.
“Larger Manchester Police has charged and remanded a 21-year-old man with controlling and coercive behaviour, tried rape and Part 47 assault of a girl,” a press release learn.
“Mason Greenwood, of Bowdon will seem at Manchester & Salford Magistrates Court docket on Monday 17 October 2022.
