The college will provide an African American research course named within the rapper’s honor throughout the spring 2023 semester, the course’s professor – Peace And Love El Henson – confirmed on Twitter.
Minaj responded to a tweet concerning the course on Thursday and expressed curiosity in dropping by a lecture.
“I’d like to cease by,” Minaj wrote.
The professor, a Black research collaboratory postdoctoral fellow who goes by she/they pronouns, thanked Minaj for her response and added that the “class is all in favour of pondering critically about [Minaj] and [her] productions [within] the context of broader historical-social buildings [and] hip hop feminisms.”
They later thanked Minaj’s followers, also called the Barbz, for his or her love and curiosity within the class.
